In early 70’s, RICE was handled & exported from Pakistan exclusively by the Government Authority i.e. Rice Export Corporation of Pakistan (RECP). Mr. Abdul Qayum Paracha was one of the handling Agents of RECP till late 70’s. In the early 80’s, he started Paracha Group Of Companies (Paracha Associates, CTC, PACI etc), a leading rice manufacturing company with the sole aim of exporting not only bulk quantity rice (full vessel load & containerized shipment) to the international market but also Dry Fruits, Fresh Fruits, Spices, Lentils/Pulses, Raw Cotton etc. He also established Globe Impex Corona Inc in New York, USA as Importers, Wholesalers, Distributors of Rice and other foodstuff. In 1996, he founded Pak Agri Commodities Int’l.
